Cultivating your romantic relationship to grow and deepen takes time and effort. It needs to be tended to every day. Without attention you can grow apart. Here are 5 activities to do with your partners as much as you can.
1. Make it a habit to go for a walk with your partner. Spend quality time with your partner in nature by taking a walk either in the mornings before you start your day or in the evenings. Walking together gives you the chance to connect with quality time, have conversations without interruptions and get exposure to fresh air. Walking promotes exercise so you are both healthier.
2. Turn off the television in the evening and connect with your partner. Make it a habit to turn off the television at least a couple of hours before you retire for the night. It’s ideal to turn off the TV most nights and take the time to ask your partner about their day, how they are doing and have deep conversations. Snuggle on the couch and reconnect.
3. Bring your partner coffee (or a drink) in the morning. The simple gesture of bringing your partner their preferred beverage in the morning expresses your love and affection.
4. Cook with your partner. It can be fun and enjoyable and creates intimacy, connection, and love. Sit down with the television off and enjoy the meal together. If one prefers to cook, make it a habit for the other to do the cleaning. It shows appreciation for the cooking and that they value you.
5. Doing household chores or errands together. Household chores are often boring and repetitive (they are always there). Why not both of you help each other out to get all of the household chores done and then have the rest of the day to hang out together knowing everything is up to date.
Now you may not do all these every single day, but try to incorporate a little something into your every day, so you build a closer bond.
