For almost two years our lives have been consumed with fitting our daily routine in around Coronavirus.
Some people say the government is drunk on power and out to get us while others I have spoken to are convinced, we are headed for doom and gloom.
Either way these are interesting times.
Something like Coronavirus is what I call an Unplanned Change. It has been thrust upon us and despite how great our planning is, we will be impacted by it.
SO, how do you plan for something that comes out of nowhere or where the government keeps changing the rules and where some people in our society are being excluded from receiving medical help because they choose to not be jabbed? I offer the following points as a guide to how to deal with Unplanned Change.
- Don’t panic – panic drives anxiety and the more anxious we get the less we are able to sit down and find a way through it.
- Gather the information you need to make a decision – it is extremely hard to make decisions without having the information to do so.
- Look for the good in this situation – how can this situation help you? Do I need to be healthier? I know what I don’t want in my life. I know what I do want in my life.
- Have you or someone you know ever been a similar situation – what were the learning from that time?
- What is the goal that you want to achieve from this – I want my family to survive the Coronavirus?
- Action steps – what steps will take to reach the goal you are wanting to achieve?
Simple points which will help to get through Unplanned Change.
What have you done to get through the last two years?
