Counselling happens when time is set aside to explore difficulties which are stressful or emotionally draining to you, the client. This means listening to you without judgement, helping you to find a way forward or to view your situation from a different viewpoint. Counselling isn’t about telling you that what you’re doing is wrong or what you should be doing—it’s listening to you and respecting your views and beliefs.
