Tomorrow is Day 1500 of me posting a 1-2 minute on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube.
Early on the video was about why I do what I do and it has now progressed to giving people tips and hints on how to live life differently.
Over 2 years ago I started sending out a weekly email (today is 114 weeks in a row) and 18 months ago my videos were based on this email.
Why would I do this? Great question.
I did it as I’m always encouraging and supporting my clients to step up and to stretch their comfort zone.
I realised in 2019, I was living in my comfort zone and which in some ways made me a hypocrite as I wasn’t walking the talk.
So …. I decided to do a video every day for 365 days and then I decided to stretch myself by doing it for another 365 days.
Did that and ticked off 900 and 1000 days and now going for 2000 days. Then? Well, I have 500 days to work that out!
What have I learnt?
It is not easy stretching yourself.
It feels good to be walking the talk.
A lot of people have and do thank me for what I do in these two areas.
It is easy to start something new, but it takes a lot of work to keep it going.
It takes discipline to do this every day (rarely I record a video in advance).
The longer you do something the easier it starts to become.
Not of these things are huge revelations BUT what would happen if you stretched yourself a little bit and moved out of your comfort zone?
For me I’m still learning and certainly not comfortable, but I am walking the talk.
